What type of bank account should i open when saving for a house?

I have a bank account at the moment but the interest rate i’m currently on is 0.03% (which is crap) and i was wondering what type of account should i be looking to open and what banks are good to look at? The money will be in this account for at least the next year if not longer and i put through monthly lodgments varying in amounts so i don’t want anything with a fixed amount.
Any help anyone could provide would be much appreciated!

How long to build credit up after cancelling credit card?

I am thinking of getting a particular credit card to use on a purchase due to the fact it offers money off the purchase. I know this isn’t a great idea, so I’m still thinking about it, but my concern is with my credit. My credit is fairly good right now and I’m wondering if I get the card and cancel it shorty after, how long does it take to build the credit I lost from getting & cancelling the card, back to normal? If it’s just a few points, does that take weeks/months? Thanks.Submited by:nmommy07

I need to apply for a loan, and I WILL have a cosigner with excellent credit (my dad). I know it varies from place to place, but in general, will I need to have worked at my job for a certain amount of time before I can get a loan? Also, can I put down what my parents give me as additional income when applying for loans? THANKS so much!
